VCAP Transforms Dreams into Reality: Idowutehillah’s Journey from Vision Clarity to Launching a 12-Book Series for Children

HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT VCAP, AND WHAT MADE IT THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOU?

I got into VCAP because I am convinced it will be my launching pad. My period of clarity and direction. I have ideas, I have the grit and resolve, and I understand the need to plan but I require the steps, structure, and strategy (I just used the letter S in 3 places)… Something has been growing in me since I met DDK. God placed several unique gifts in my life but they seemed so normal to me until I realized as I grew up that not everyone functioned or functions like me. My perspective is different, my speech, way of life, and command of English are totally different from my siblings. Even when I was in a structured professional environment, I was still different. I understood later that I may have been on a different path if I worked in the training and development space, which I dabbled for a fleeting second (in a manner of speaking) but I believe it will still have led me back on this path/this trail where I would still have encountered DDK.

VCAP is God’s midwife for me and I’m ready. It’s time to PUSH! To put words to action and make a reality of my dreams and assignments. It’s time to distill the knowledge I have acquired over time and build legacies. I have fed fat spiritually and professionally, now it’s time to give birth to children and equip them!

Finally, the caliber of women I see speak, the ones who went through the last class, the network our founder has…this can’t be a fluke, they all can’t be wrong. I recognize my season, my teacher, and the instrument and I’m making my move NOW.

DID YOU HAVE YOUR VISION CLARIFIED, OR DID YOU COME TO VCAP TO FIGURE THINGS OUT?

VCAP helped me with defining my mission and vision. Why I do what I do and what makes me stand out from others. The Clarify Execution Blueprint helped me put succinctly in words what I knew but hitherto had been floating in my subconscious.

WHAT INTRIGUED YOU THE MOST ABOUT THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE?

VCAP has been a turbo boost for me, it has definitely stretched me and taken me out of my comfort zone many times.

It has been intense but I know it’s ultimately for my good.

DID YOU HAVE AN “A-HA!” MOMENT THAT CHANGED YOUR WAY OF THINKING ABOUT YOUR VISIONARY JOURNEY?

With the wins other VCAP members were sharing, I was not going to be left behind. I joined VCAP for a reason and that reason was going to be achieved, come hell or high water!

The CLBS lab showed me where I was slacking off and where momentum was required. The assignments made me dig deep. The resources opened my eyes to new ideologies and concepts and helped me NOT GET STUCK IN THE DINOSAUR AGE.

I was able to recently launch my children’s books after two years of hemming and hawing.

I was convinced without a doubt I was and still am a co-creator with God, that my vision is valid and I didn’t and still don’t need anyone’s permission for my vision to come to LIFE!

As far as I’m concerned, writing a 12-book series for children is not the end. It’s just the beginning.

40 WEEKS IS SUCH A LONG TIME. HOW HAS VCAP HELPED YOU TO AVOID BURNOUT AND HOW HAS IT IMPACTED YOUR WORK AND HOME LIFE? 

Thanks to VCAP, my RM, and a determination to make the Program WORK FOR ME, I engaged several principles taught.
